UL listings (and ETL, CSA) in Aleph
Keep a product's UL, ETL or CSA listing certificate, its file number and expiry date, and the test report behind it.
A UL, ETL or CSA listing is not a law Aleph checks — it is a certification you chose, or one a buyer or retailer requires.
Switch it on — on the product's Compliance tab, switch on UL. It is offered on consumer goods and children's products and is off until you turn it on.
What Aleph keeps:
- The listing certificate — choose Add listing certificate on the product. Pick UL, ETL or CSA, and enter the certifier, the file (listing) number, and the issue and expiry dates. It is the same certificate record the Certificate Vault shows.
- The test report — upload it as a Lab Report and file it under UL.
Expiry — as a listing certificate's expiry date approaches, it appears on the Alerts page under "Certificates you track". It is tracked, not counted: Aleph does not mark a product late for a certification no law requires.
TIP: If a buyer or retailer requires a listing, keep their requirement with the certificate (for example in its notes), so anyone checking can see why the product carries it.
