Preparing for CPSC eFiling (July 2026)
What changes when CPSC eFiling becomes mandatory and how to prepare.
Starting July 2026, CPC data must be filed electronically with US Customs (CBP) at the time of entry for regulated children's products. The CPSC eFiling rule replaces today's paper-based or post-entry CPC submission process.
What changes:
- CPC data must be transmitted via the ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) system
- Required at or before time of entry — not after
- Pilot mode currently runs in parallel with paper; mandatory switchover in July 2026
How to prepare:
- Ensure every children's product SKU has a complete, current CPC on file
- Confirm your customs broker is enrolled in ACE eFiling
- Map your CPCs to the data fields CPSC will require
- Run test submissions in pilot mode — Aleph exports CPC data in the eFiling format on Pro plans
TIP: On Pro plans, you can preview the eFiling export today from any product's Compliance tab → CPSC eFiling → Preview export. The format is locked in advance of the mandate so your customs broker can validate end-to-end.
